About the Author
Author JG Nair is a pediatrician and writer living in Nashville, Tennessee. After college, he completed a Masters degree in cell biology at Yale University, taught in the Applied Molecular Biology Program at University of Maryland Baltimore County, worked as a farmhand in New Zealand and spent three years conducting research on tuberculosis at the national Institutes of Health in Bethesda, Maryland. He is a coauthor on twelve scientific papers ranging in scope from studies of multi-drug resistant tuberculosis to prey tracking in mantis shrimp. After years of doing "other things," he found and pursued one of his true callings--medicine. Following medical school, he completed his pediatrics residency at Vanderbilt University and has been practicing in Middle Tennessee since 2000. Unexpectedly, the intensive training and practice of medicine brought him to his other true calling--writing. He publishes independently, which affords him the opportunity to work with a talented group of artists in developing his creative vision beyond the written word.
